Math is our most in-demand subject and we go out of our way to hire math tutors who can build a child’s confidence and strengthen their math foundations so that they come to enjoy the subject.

From number recognition through Calculus III

We tutor all levels of math, including elementary math, pre-algebra, Algebra 1 and Algebra 2, geometry, pre-calculus, college algebra, AP Calculus, and college calc. Almost all our tutoring is in-home and in-person, but we may need an online tutor for Calc 2 and Calc 3.

Our tutors will help your children with their current math homework and review current math topics, and can also shore up any skills gaps. We can work with your child’s schoolwork or provide our own worksheets.

Conquering Math Anxiety

According to a 2013 study conducted by the University of Chicago, more than half of first and second-grader students experience moderate to severe math anxiety, which negatively impacts their academic performance throughout their school years and even into college. This anxiety does not indicate a lack of ability in math but rather exacerbates performance issues.

However, early intervention can have a positive impact on this anxiety. The Journal of Neuroscience published a study in 2015 that showed a 20% reduction in math anxiety among third-grade students after receiving eight weeks of one-on-one tutoring.
